Stores Requisition Management

The Stores Requisition Management (SRM) Module is a product developed for Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, to help streamline the functioning of stores and ultimately get a better handle on stocks and assets within your organisation.

An SRM version will be available after each Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations service update. Requests for latest versions can be done by sending an email to [email protected].

Enhancement: Data entities added for SRMStoreReqHeaders and SRMStoresReqLines

Internal Azure DevOps Workitem 8430

The existing SRM data entity only made provision for two Inventory dimension vields.  Two new entities have been created, SRMStoresReqHeaders and SRMStoresReqLines.  These entities are available for Imports and exports to create and export Stores requisition details.

Note: When importing the lines, the correct StoresReqID on the lines should be specified.

Fix: Stores issue report

Internal Azure DevOps Workitem 8410

The stores issue report failed to display the Init price and the Nett amount.  The report now displays values as per related Inventory truncation posted on a successful issue.

 

Fix: Removed Financial transaction overview report

Internal Azure DevOps Workitem 8473

Under General ledger > Ledger reports > Financial transaction overview, the SRM report has been removed.

August 2024 Release

Three SRM build versions were updated, for the three Finance and Operations versions currently supported:

Fix: Enumerated error: 'Enumerated text stock issue does not exist'

Internal Azure DevOps Workitem: 8462

When submitting a Stores requisition to workflow, an error was thrown stating ‘Enumerated text stock issue does not exist’.  This error occurred during the budget check being performed in the code.

Tool available for running:

Due to data corrupted by the Enumerated error, a once-off runnable script has been made available to fix the data.  This tool allows you to execute the ‘SRMStoresReqDelOrphanedSrcDocLineJobV2’ directly through your browser.

How to Run the Tool:

To access and run this tool, please follow these simple steps:

  1. Open Your Browser: Use any standard web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Edge).
  2. Enter the URL: Copy and paste the following URL into your browser’s address bar:https://[YourDynamics365Domain]/?cmp=bar&mi=SysClassRunner&cls= SRMStoresReqDelOrphanedSrcDocLineJobV2

Replace [YourDynamics365Domain] with the actual domain of your Dynamics 365 environment.

3. Press Enter: After entering the URL, press Enter to navigate. The system will automatically load and execute the class.

  • Ensure that you are logged into Dynamics 365 with the appropriate permissions to run this class.

Fix: Unit of measure is cleared

Internal Azure DevOps Workitem: 8463

The unit of measure was cleared on the Stores Requisition line when a line was saved or submitted to workflow, resulting in workflow errors if an incorrect unit of measure was manually added.

Added "Get link" functionality to be available on all forms

In each Stores requisitions form, under Options > Get a link, users now have the ability to copy the url and share with team members. The link will also bring across any filters and orders applied on the form.

Fix: Budget Control Processing failed

When selecting a stores requisition in Approval status, in a prior period; the following workflow error was thrown:

Stopped (error): A budget check cannot be performed. The fiscal period with the accounting date is not in an open fiscal calendar period. Budget control processing failed”.

Stores requisition issue per period: show financial year months instead of calendar year months

Internal Azure DevOps Workitem: 7937

The Stores requsition issued per period form showed calendar months (Jan – Dec. This change has been made to show months from the financial year (whichever the client has configured).  A new parameter has been introduced under Inventory and Warehouse management parameters to enable the use of fiscal year calendar months:

Fix: Stores Requisition Back Date functionality

Internal Azure DevOps Workitem: 8411, 8096

Future dated positing of Issue journals are not allowed.  Date selections that are allowed are for the current date and past dates within the open Financial Period.

Fix: Ledger account gets cleared after stores requisition line is saved

The ledger account field on the Stores Requsition line is no longer cleared during saving.

Fix: Added ”Get link” functionality on forms

On the Stores Requisions forms, under Options > Get a link functionality has been added.  This link can be shared amongst users and will include all filtering on the form at the time.
