They have 600+ employees and distribute to thousands of retail outlets. They have an extensive distribution network of warehouses along with sales operations, retail partners and a dedicated express dealer channel.
The Requirement
Previously, the business’s data management process was extremely manual. There were silos within departments, no master data system, and no historical audit trail of how the data changed over time. Decision-making was extremely reactive, leaving the entire business with gaps in its overview of what was happening: from manufacturing through to sales and finance.
Data extraction from their SAP systems were difficult, complex, and very time-consuming. The business needed a modern data platform that would integrate into its existing SAP systems and quickly generate reports on the financials and performance of the business.
They were looking for a solution that would extract the data from SAP in a seamless, fast, and cost-effective way.
The Solution
The business engaged with Decision Inc.’s specialist data team and they recommended making use of Decision Inc.’s Azure4SAP data platform.

Decision Inc. implemented the solution in three stages: data integration, data modelling and data reporting, and business intelligence. Integration was done using the Azure data factory and data storage using Azure Blob. Microsoft SQL was used for the data mart and Power BI for the end-user data reporting and business intelligence.
This solution allowed for the reduction of performance constraints of data extraction, significantly improved data reporting, and delivered key business intelligence insights.
